The day consisted of kids’ activities throughout, with a fundraising function finishing just before kick-off.

Altona was the first team to score against the run of play to make it 1-0. From there, the game became all about Avondale FC trying to find an equaliser, with Altona defending desperately and trying to get something on the counter.

It looked like Avondale FC were going to secure a point when a penalty was given in the 90th minute, however the keeper saved it.
