Goals by Zander Guy, Stefan Zinni, Liam Boland and Liston Diaz
The Avengers took the lead in the 28th minute when left footer Zander Guy cut in from the right and curled the ball into the far-left post.
Stefan Zinni made it 2-0 just before the break when he got ahead of his marker to meet a low cross by Yusuf Ahmed. Zinni swung at the ball with his left foot, causing it to slowly roll into the goals via the right post.
In the second half, Liam Boland shot a rocket into the top-right corner in his last game for the club.
Liston Diaz provided the final nail in South Melbourne’s coffin after a bursting run with the ball into the box and tidy finish into the far-left post.
