Meanwhile, the Avondale FC Women played Caroline Springs George Cross on Sunday at Avenger Park.
The Avengers started strong by scoring two goals to lead 2-0 at the break. But whatever was discussed at half time to fire the home team up should be bottled and sold as the women came out and scored six second-half goals to win 8-0.
Single goal scorers were Candia, Sikic, Houghton and Hubeek, while Sawa and Davies were both at the double. The women are in devastating form, averaging 5.4 goals a game while only conceding an average of 0.6.
