Ilias Koutsoupias put Bari ahead in the 28th minute when he picked up a goalkeeper parry just outside the six-yard box before smashing it into the roof of the net.

Catanzaro equalised two minutes later via one of their own Greeks, Dimitrios Sounas, who headed in Jari Vandeputte’s inward-swinging cross.

The visitors went ahead just before half time through Luca Verna who finished Panos Katseris’ low cross.

Bari made it 2-2 in the 57th minute when Koutsoupias profited from another poor parry from Catanzaro goalkeeper Andrea Fulignati.

Catanzaro and Bari find themselves in fourth and eighth place respectively.
