After a scoreless first half, Bologna broke the deadlock in the 68th minute when Babis Lykogiannis’ free kick curled into the top-right corner.
Roberto Piccoli scored the dramatic equaliser for Lecce in the tenth minute of added time when he put away a penalty awarded for a foul on Lecce keeper Wladimiro Falcone, who had come up for one last roll of the dice.
Bologna end the round in seventh, two points behind Roma in fourth.
