Nicolo Brighenti equalised for Catanzaro in the 31st minute when a teammate’s cross was blocked into his path. He hit the ball first time and sent it into the top-right corner.

Matias Antonini Lui put the hosts ahead just after the break with a header at the back post from a corner.

Emanuele Pecorino made it 2-2 in the 59th minute after some excellent work in the box with his back to goal. The ball was played into Pecorino who kept leaning one way and then the other until he created space for himself to turn and shoot, sending the ball into the far post.

Catanzaro are sixth on the table while Sudtirol are 11 points behind them in 14th.
