The day was organised by Ugo Andrea Campili.

Compatriots and friends enjoyed each other’s company while reliving the traditions of their country.

Saint Rocco is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church as the protector against the plague and all contagious diseases.

The day began with Mass lead by Father John Mello.

Immediately afterwards a four course lunch was served.

Also included in the event was lively dancing music by maestro Lucio Ventresca and two draws of the lottery.

At the end of the day, organiser Ugo Andrea Campili thanked all attendees, declaring that all money raised was for charity.

A donation of $15,858 went to Weastmead’s Children Hospital, while $2010 was sent to the church of San Rocco di Cepagatti.
