In her speech the Italian Prime Minister is reported to have highlighted the importance of the summit, which gives NATO a “new posture” and a “360-degree” approach.
She also complimented the organisation’s attention to countries on the alliance’s southern borders, and in Africa in particular, also in order to tackle migration.
Meloni is also said to have emphasised “the extraordinary support to Ukraine” that is to be continued for as long as necessary.
