Catanzaro dominated possession with 62 per cent but created only five chances to Como’s ten.

The home side controlled the start of the match and broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when Jari Vandeputte’s shot took a wicked deflection, helping it evade the keeper.

It wasn’t until the 63rd minute that Como equalised through Alessandro Gabrielloni, who scored with a diving header from close range.

Five minutes later, Lucas Da Cunha scored what proved to be the winner when Catanzaro failed to clear the ball, allowing him to blast the ball in from six yards out.

Como are now five points behind Parma while Catanzaro sit fifth and should comfortably make the promotion playoffs.
