The man, Nadir, his wife Asma and their children aged 10 months and four years will now have a proper home again after they lost their previous flat let by a cooperative because he was earning too much as a building labourer on a steady contract, local dailies said.
Nadir had been rebuffed by several local homeowners who had refused to rent out their property to foreigners.
“We have always paid our rent regularly, and never been evicted,” Asma told the local media.
“All we need is a room with a bathroom. We can pay up to 700 euros in rent, my husband earns 1500 euros a month.”
The local couple who bought the home to rent to the family has decided to remain anonymous.
