Como enjoyed 57 per cent of the ball but managed only one shot on target.
Reggina took the lead in the 22nd minute through David Strelec, who profited from Como’s inability to deal with a cross as the ball fell to him and he sent it in off the crossbar.
Strelec bagged his brace seven minutes after halftime when he finished off Hernani’s pass by chipping Gomis.
Como thought they had halved the deficit when Alberto Cerri headed Lucas Da Cunha’s back-post cross into the far post, but he was ruled offside by VAR.
Da Cunha eventually did created a goal that would stand, when Patrick Cutrone volleyed his corner past Contini in the 89th minute.
The loss leaves Como in 13th, three points outside the playoffs.
