Dybala had just returned to Rome from London, where he had surgery following an injury to his left semitendinosus tendon.
The forward injured the semitendinosus tendon of his left thigh during his side’s 1-0 home win over Cagliari last Sunday.
The 31-year-old came off 13 minutes after taking the field as a second-half substitute.
He has been central to Roma’s rise up the Serie A table to seventh place since Claudio Ranieri came out of retirement to return as coach in November.
“I’m fine,” Dybala said after landing at Ciampino Airport, “But I don’t know when I’ll be back, the doctors told me I can walk without crutches.
“Will I be in Lecce with the team on Saturday? I don’t know - I have to talk to the doctors.
“For the other matches I think so.”
From Thursday, the Argentine will be back at the club’s training facilities for rehabilitation.
His return is provisionally expected sometime between July and August.
