More than 300 people attended the event, which culminated in the crowning of Miss Roma Social Club 1970.
The title went to 18-year-old Giovanna Castello, who has become the first official candidate for Miss Italian Community 1970.
The young queen was awarded a cup, a sash and a bouquet as well as a hairdryer courtesy of Petralia Electric Furnishing.
Meanwhile, Patrizia Tomassoni was crowned Charity Queen for selling the most raffle tickets.
She won two return airfares to Sydney, courtesy of Bellomo Viaggi e Turismo.
Consul General of Italy in Melbourne Mario Ferrari di Carpi and his wife were special guests on the evening.
The dinner dance came to an end with a “floor show” in which guests were entertained by two dancers and singers, Anna Maria Manna and Nadia Alessi.
