The stampede happened on the night between December 7 and December 8 at Lanterna Azzurra Club, where Sfera Ebbasta had been due to perform.
Suspects allegedly used pepper spray to cause chaos and steal valuables, inadvertently causing the stampede which saw five teens and a mother crushed to death.
The video shows gang suspect Di Puorto speaking to the famous “trapper” at a highway restaurant, allegedly on the same night of the incident and shortly after the deaths were caused.
In the clip, Di Puorto speaks to the rapper who answers: “Yeah, the king, Sfera Ebbasta.”
Sfera Ebbasta then mimes sewing his mouth up.
“He is making money while you talk, talk, look at him,” Di Puorto then says.
Sfera Ebbasta made a story on his Instagram account in response to the video, in which he condemns the actions of the gang suspects and denies having any connection to the incident despite having met one of the gang members.
“I meet thousands of people every day who ask me for a photo; the idea of having met even one of those cretins really makes me sick,” Sfera Ebbasta said.
“They have tried and will try to tarnish my name but it does not bother me because the satisfaction of knowing that those half-men (if they can even be called that) have been arrested is the only important thing.”
Sfera Ebbasta’s manager has said that it is impossible to say what day or time the video was taken “given the number of photos and videos that Sfera allows between himself and fans”.
