Moore has starred in over 70 films, from classics such as The Big Lebowski to modern blockbusters The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 and 2.
Most recently, the actress has worked with production house A24’s When You Finish Saving the World, which was directed by Jesse Eisenberg and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Moore will be accompanied on the International jury by a host of film experts, including: Argentinian director, screenwriter and producer, Mariano Cohn, Italian director and screenwriter, Leonardo Di Costanzo, French director Audrey Diwan, Iranian actress Leila Hatami, Japanese author and screenwriter, Kazuo Ishiguro, and Spanish director, screenwriter and producer, Rodrigo Sorogoyen.
The jury will award the following prizes: Golden Lion for best film; Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize; Silver Lion for best director; Coppa Volpi for best actress; Coppa Volpi for best actor; Special Jury Prize award for best screenplay; and the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best new young actor or actress.
The 79th Venice International Film Festival is set to run from August 31 to September 10, 2022.
