Despite only having 43 per cent possession, it was the bianconeri who created the better of the chances.
Yildaz broke the deadlock just after 20 minutes when he drove into the box, shifted the ball to the right and curled a shot into the far top corner off the post.
McKennie made it 2-0 six minutes later with a finish from eight yards out.
Gonzalez sealed the deal seven minutes after the break when Dusan Vlahovic found him unmarked in the box. Joel Drommel in the PSV goal tried to make himself big in the one-on-one but couldn’t get a block on the shot.
PSV’s Ismael Saibari scored a consolation goal for the visitors with a tidy finish across goal in added time.
Juventus’ next Champions League game is away to RB Leipzig.
