Måneskin have earned a Grammy 2023 nomination in the Best New Artist category; an announcement which was broadcasted live on the Recording Academy’s official website.
Announced by last year's winner of ‘Driver’s License’ fame, Olivia Rodrigo, the nomination is the first for the Italian band, whose new album 'RUSH!' will be released on January 20, just days before the Grammy ceremony, scheduled for prime time on February 5.
The announcement is the latest in Victoria, Damiano, Thomas and Ethan’s string of meteoric successes this year, as the band continues to kick goals on an international scale ― the U.S. dates of the band’s 'Loud Kids Tour' kicked off in late October with a sold-out show at The Paramount Theatre in Seattle.
In a post on their Instagram story, it was clear that the band couldn’t be more ecstatic:
“OMG! We can’t believe our eyes and ears but we just got nominated as Best New Artist at the #Grammys. We really couldn’t be more THANKFUL and excited about it.”
Nominated alongside theglam-rock four-piece are Anitta, Omar Apollo, DOMi & JD Beck, Muni Long, Samara Joy, Latto, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle and Wet Leg.
