Christian Pulisic put the seven-time champions ahead midway through the first half by finishing off a counterattack.
Then Rafael Leao restored the Rossoneri’s advantage after Tigran Barseghyan had equalised for Bratislava before Tammy Abraham quickly added another thanks to a howler of a back pass from the home side.
Nino Marcelli scored with a long-range strike in the 88th minute for Bratislava, who ended with 10 men.
