The Villaggio is an Italian home for the elderly which includes a resting house and residential villages.
The nine members are: Dominic De Marco (president), Antonio Matruglio (vice-president), Luisa Capezio, Angela Castillo, Emilio Cataldo, Gino De Angelis, Sebastiano Giorgi, Donald Giorgio and Cristina Giusti.
President De Marco highlighted the positive financial results which were achieved by the Villaggio this year, which were stated in the financial report, as well as confirming developing plans for expansion of the structure.
De Marco then thanked staff, volunteers and members of the board for their precious collaboration during the year.
From August, the Villaggio has been directed by a new general manager, Jill Pieper.
In her speech, Pieper mentioned the new Aged Care Standards and spoke of her strong desire to assure that staff takes great care of residents in such a way as to render their lives comfortable in their last phase of life.
She also promised to communicate openly regarding execution of the Villaggio’s expansion.
The year 2019 will be a significant one for the Villaggio, which rests in good hands for this important phase of expansion.
