The Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) has announced that the nomination process is now open for the Multicultural Awards for Excellence.
Now in its 20th year, the annual initiative covers 15 categories, including community harmony, business, education and early childhood, local government, arts, health and emergency services.
There is also an award for the community response and recovery category – introduced in 2020 to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of those who have assisted during the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Victorians can be nominated for either paid or voluntary work, and award recipients will be honoured in a ceremony hosted by the VMC later in the year.
Nominations close on Sunday, September 5, and individuals and businesses can self-nominate.
