Wednesday night’s results were based on a demoscopic poll, composed by 300 music fans who voted from their homes via an electronic device.
Meanwhile, the new proposals, or up-and-coming acts, who battled it out were: Martinelli and Lula against Fasma, and Marco Sentieri against Matteo Faustini.
Host Amadeus was joined by special guests Fiorello, Tiziano Ferro, Massimo Ranieri, Zucchero, Gigi D’Alessio and Ricchi e Poveri.
Tennis star Novak Djokovic also made an appearance, fresh from his Australian Open victory.
The evening was dedicated to late Italian television presenter, Fabrizio Frizzi, who would’ve turned 62 on Wednesday.
