Filippo Ranocchia made it 2-0 in the 64th minute when another dangerous Di Mariano cross was cleared into his path for a straightforward finish.

Federico Di Francesco sealed the points for Palermo in the 83rd minute after a cleverly-chipped through ball from a Brunori freekick put him through on goal. Di Francesco still had a bit to do from a tight angle and do it he did, sending the ball low into the far post.

Palermo are now third on the table as Como move down to fifth, equal on points.
