Caramanna oversees cases regarding the offspring of Mafia bosses and her security detail has been strengthened as a consequence of the incident.
Caltanissetta prosecutors are investigating the episode, which dates back to August 5, according to the paper.
The State attorney reportedly found a piece of paper with a cross on it saying she had “to stop concerning yourself with the children of others” in a court document in her office.
The piece of paper was discovered just as crew members were shooting scenes for a film directed by Ricky Tognazzi and Simona Izzo on the life of slain judge Francesca Morvillo.
Morvillo was killed with her husband, anti-Mafia judge Giovanni Falcone, in 1992, after having worked for 17 years as a prosecutor at the juvenile court before becoming an appeals judge.
Caramanna and members of her prosecution team have recently requested 50 warrants following a large anti-drug operation by Carabinieri police in Sperone on the outskirts of Palermo.
Hidden cameras placed as part of the investigation showed children preparing drug doses and counting money alongside adults.
Caramanna had already received threats in the past and her courtroom was turned upside down just over a year ago.
