The home team created 13 chances to the visitors’ total of four off-target shots.

Palermo went ahead in under a quarter of an hour when Roberto Insigne sent a gentle pass from Liam Henderson into the far post.

Straight after the break Palermo would double their lead from a turnover caused by FeralpiSalo keeper Samuel Pizzignacco.

Leo Stulac finished off the punishing counterattack with a shot into the bottom corner.

The final nail in the visitors’ coffin occurred five minutes from full time, when Federico Di Francesco got the ball back after a one-two with Edoardo Soleri and sent another low shot into the back of the net.

FeralpiSalo have lost all four of their opening games while Palermo are yet to taste defeat.
