The home team didn’t have the best start when they lost Shady Oukhadda to a straight red card in the 23rd minute for a last-man challenge on Roberto Insigne who was otherwise through on goal.
Palermo finally took advantage of their numbers two minutes after the break when Liam Henderson’s volley in the box sailed into the far post despite a slight touch from the keeper.
The visitors made sure of the win in added time when Leonardo Mancuso played a one-two with Matteo Brunori before hitting his shot hard and low past the keeper.
