Nicholas Pierini opened the scoring for the hosts in the 26th minute with a brilliant spin to get past his opponent followed by a top-corner finish from outside the box.
Andrea Carboni made it 2-0 when he headed in Magnus Andersen’s corner with three minutes left in the half.
Venezia sealed the game with some neat passing inside the box that ended with a shot from Mikael Ellertsson just to the left of the penalty spot.
Perugia keeper Alessi Abibi got a hand to the ball but couldn’t keep it out.
Four minutes later, Perugia’s Samuel Di Carmine worked hard to fend off his opponent and put Gregoria Luperini through on goal.
Luperini struck the ball straight into the keeper but was able to finish off the rebound to make it 3-1.
Perugia made it interesting with 12 minutes remaining when Tiago Casasola put his penalty straight into the top-right corner.
The penalty taker was given a straight red in the 90th minute after a scuffle broke out between players.
Perugia need to win next week and hope Brescia lose, or they will be relegated.
