Her assertion came after an alleged takeover by officials and journalists appointed by right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
“Enough with TeleMeloni, enough with the public service degraded to making propaganda for the government, and enough with attacks on investigative reporting,” she said.
Meloni, leader of the right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, has said Rai is being “rebalanced” after years of alleged left-wing occupation and bias.
Top slots at the broadcaster have always been part of the Italian spoils system.
