Agustin Martegani put the home side ahead in under 90 seconds when he fired Domagoj Bradaric’s cutback into the roof of the net.

Mateo Retegui equalised for Genoa in the 13th minute when he blasted the ball past Guillermo Ochoa, who got a hand to it, from a tight angle.

Albert Gudmundsson put Genoa ahead in the 58th minute when he scored a penalty awarded for a handball.

Genoa are eight points clear of the drop.
