Darko Lazovic has scored twice to help Hellas Verona to a valuable 2-0 win over Cremonese in a Serie A relegation fight.
Both goals came in the first half and took the hosts off the bottom of the table, to be replaced by their opponents.
Verona remain in the relegation zone but move to within six points of safety with their first win since the beginning of September.
Cremonese have yet to taste victory in their first season back in Serie A in 27 years.
Players wore special shirts dedicated to former Italy and Juventus forward Gianluca Vialli, who died on Friday.
Cremonese was Vialli's first club and the shirts had a picture of him on the left sleeve accompanied by the words 'Ciao Luca' (goodbye Luca).
The jerseys will be auctioned with proceeds going to a charity set up by Vialli.
The match was vital for both sides, with just one point separating them at the foot of the table.
Atalanta moved up to sixth - level with Lazio and Roma - after coming from behind to beat Bologna 2-1.
It was a return to winning ways for Atalanta, who had suffered three successive defeats followed by an unconvincing 2-2 draw at lowly Spezia last week.
Ricardo Orsolini opened the scoring for hosts Bologna in the sixth minute, but Atalanta bounced back through strikes from Teun Koopmeiners and teenager Rasmus Hojlund.
