South Australia’s Chief Public Health Office Nicola Spurrier told ABC radio the new cases were confirmed overnight, but she couldn’t say how many there had been.
A further 100 baggage handlers are being investigated for possible infection, given the confined space they all worked in.
It’s expected the bulk of those people will be ordered to self-isolate.
The test results led to seven Qantas flights being cancelled on Tuesday, with one turned around mid-air and returned to Sydney.
The airline says it’s now working to put affected passengers on alternative flights and is running to schedule today.
There are no concerns for other areas in the airport, although if you travelled through Adelaide airport recently it is recommended you give your bags a good clean.
Spurrier announced 32 new patients on Tuesday, aged between their 20s and 80s, bringing the state’s total to 337.
It not yet clear what the total now is, following the overnight cases.
