The urgent preventive seizure order was signed by Prosecutor Paolo Storari as part of a new investigation centred on the phenomenon of an alleged illegal supply of labour.
The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office has also requested an injunction prohibiting UPS Italia, at the centre of a new investigation into VAT fraud worth more than EUR 86 million, from advertising services and goods for one year.
In the investigation, the three legal directors of the group’s Italian company, who succeeded each other from 2017 to 2022, are under investigation.
The alleged fraud, according to the prosecutor’s reconstruction, took place by making false labour contracts with non-existent companies.
