Armando Tornari is in no need of introduction to our readers, given his role with La Fiamma for the past 40 years, reporting on the activities of Italian organisations in Sydney.
In collaboration with his first wife, Enrica Inglese, he also devised and organised many cultural and social initiatives, which honoured not only themselves as organisers, but the entire Italian collective.
Rita, whose first husband was esteemed businessman Ross Maniaci, was always busy assisting him in his engagements as vice mayor, mayor and advisor to Drummoyne council.
Because Ross was also the founder and president for many years of the Aeolian Islands Association, last year, in honour of his memory, Rita organised the reunion of the 20 Aeolians who participated in a visit to the Aeolian Islands, thanks to Ross, 26 years ago.
Today, Rita is also vice president of the Friendship Group in Memory of Enrica Inglese.
