Possession was exactly equal with Venezia creating 11 shots on goal to Parma’s nine.
Gianluca Busio opened the scoring just after the restart to put the home team ahead when he broke through their backline and beat the keeper with a low finish.
Soon after the visitors were awarded a penalty for handball. Adrian Benedyczak sent the keeper the wrong way and scored.
Venezia regained the lead in the 63rd minute when Tanner Tessmann’s low shot into the far post went through too many legs for Leandro Chichizola to properly see it.
Mikael Ellertson made it 3-1 in the 78th minute when he ran into the box and met Joel Pohjanpalo’s perfectly placed cross to finish from around the penalty spot.
Parma got one back in added time through Antonio Colak’s composed finish in the box.
Parma remain on top, Venezia are in third.
