The sold-out event will transport guests to the world’s fashion capital with the theme ALTA MODA: Milan Fashion Week.

The association’s second annual ball has been highly anticipated following the success of its inaugural event, which featured special guest Franco Cozzo.

This is the second year in a row tickets have fully sold out to accommodate 550 people, many of whom are members of associated VITA Italian Social Clubs (University of Melbourne, Monash University, La Trobe University, RMIT and Swinburne University).

The evening will include canapés, three courses of fine Italian fare and unlimited drinks to wash it all down with.

To add to the sumptuous feast, the guys from iconic panino bar Saluministi will be suiting up to provide guests with an Aperol spritz bar.

The festivities will also include a performance in Italian by special guest singer, Bernadette Novembre of MUSA International.

Ballgoers will be treated to door prizes and vouchers courtesy of Woodstock Pizzicheria, Antico Coffee, Bertocchi, the Lavazza Italian Film Festival and Coles/Myer.

Kylie Iva Photography will be roaming the ballroom to capture the celebrations, while guests can make their own memories in the photo booth.

The party will then move on to the CBD and continue into the night at Ms Collins.

In his last year as VITA president, Joseph Xuereb is pleased to see that the association’s main annual event has been just as successful this time around.

“The success of the 2018 ball is testament to the unprecedented growth of VITA and support of institutions such as the Australian Italian Leaders of Tomorrow (ALTO) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce Melbourne (ICCI Melbourne),” Xuereb says.

“As founder of VITA, I’m very proud of the organisation that it has become and I can only hope that my descendants, like my living nonna, are proud of me.”

The 2018 VITA Ball is sold out. Keep an eye out on the event’s Facebook page for ticket resales.
