The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia - Melbourne Inc. in partnership with the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, will be hosting an exceptional virtual event during the fifth annual Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. YOU WILL LEARN FROM MICHELIN STAR MASTERCHEF CARLO CRACCO - ONE OF THE WORLD’S BEST CHEFS. During the evening you will experience a fascinating session with MasterChef Cracco, learning an extraordinary dish, as well as hearing his engaging and insightful life story. Cracco was born in Vicenza, Italy in 1965. In 1986, he began his professional culinary career under iconic Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi, Italy’s first restaurateur to ever achieve three Michelin Stars. Chef Cracco is the owner-chef of acclaimed eponymous fine dining restaurant in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, in the beating heart of Milan’s Piazza Duomo. With 1200 square metres of space across several floors, the establishment has: a cellar that contains over 2500 wine labels from across the world, Cafè Cracco on the ground floor, Cracco’s Ristorante Gastronomico on the first floor, and finally the Sala Mengoni, dedicated to hosting larger events. Cracco has also been one of the hosts of MasterChef Italia and the Italian version of Hell’s Kitchen. Cracco was appointed an ambassador of the Lombardy Region for the City of Milan as host of Expo2015. Cracco, truly one of the finest chefs on the planet, also created a signature dish during the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in 2017.
