Alessandra Capodacqua: A Two-Fold Presentation

In collaboration with the Ballarat International Foto Biennale 2019, the IIC Melbourne is pleased to present a lecture by Italian photographer Alessandra Capodacqua. Alessandra Capodacqua, born in Naples, lives and works in Florence as a photographer, a curator of exhibitions, and a teacher of photography at NYU Florence, IED and SACI. As a curator, Alessandra has developed exhibitions of photography and has participated in the creation of festivals of photography in Italy and abroad. She is also regularly invited as portfolio reviewer and as a jury for international photo awards and prizes. Her photographs are shown nationally and internationally, and are in private and public collections, including the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris. She is interested in conceptual and fine art, visual story telling, documentary, fashion and architecture. The theme for her lecture at Elm Tree House will be a two-fold presentation in English on Alessandra’s personal work and her new projects as a curator and an educator. Followed by a Q&A session.
