Migration: Women and Resilience

Event by Editorial Team

Join us for an informative and thought-provoking evening exploring experiences of displacement, participation and contributions to modern Australia by generations of immigrant and refugee women. Leaving your home and establishing yourself in a new country can be a difficult journey. How to you maintain connection with the culture of your original homeland as you adapt to a new environment? Join our panel of multicultural speakers, as they discuss historic and contemporary issues through films, readings and stories across cultures and across generations. The evening includes voices from: German, Greek, Iranian, Italian, Kurdish, Sri Lankan and Taiwanese cultural heritage. Facilitated by Multicultural Arts Victoria CEA Jill Morgan AM. This event is part of the 2018 Australian Heritage Festival Program coordinated by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) (NTAV). This event is currently booked out, but to go on the waiting list please send and email to: paolo@coasit.com.au.
