The House of the Future: Innovation, Sustainability and Beauty

Event by Editorial Team

On the occasion of the fourth Italian Design Day, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in Sydney, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney, has organised a conference in keeping with the theme proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation: Designing the future – Innovation, Sustainability and Beauty. The event will feature architect Luigi Rosselli, who has been operating in Australia for over three decades and is credited with designing some of Sydney’s most iconic residential buildings. During the evening, Rosselli will ask the following question, while also illustrating some projects: “We must change our domestic space to respond to the degradation of our planet. Can sustainable architecture be also very habitable, comfortable, human and attractive?” Rosselli will be introduced to the public by Paola Favaro from the School of Architecture of the University of NSW. The meeting will be hosted by the Snaidero Flagship Store, a famous Italian kitchen and interior furnishing company. The choice of the location by ITA is not accidental, as it underlines the union of high-school architecture and top-level Italian design. The speech will be follow by a convivial moment which will give the guests the opportunity to interact with the speaker, and during which Italian food and wine products will be served. This event is by invitation.
