On August 17, Italian student Martina Favata visited the Italian Bilingual School in Meadowbank, Sydney, while on a trip in Australia.

Martina attends a prestigious bilingual school in Milan, called Collegio San Carlo, Corso Magenta 71.

The day’s events unfolded in two parts.

The student introduced herself to her companions before the teacher entered the room and the lesson began.

The theme for the day was the capacities and differences in teaching men and women.

Students expanded on the topic and presented their ideas by responding to various questions.

After some hours in the classroom, students were taken to the local park, where they played together and recounted stories from their lives.

At the end of the day the students said goodbye and went their separate ways.

Martina enjoyed the day spent at the Italian Bilingual School, having learnt how her Australian classmates pass their schooldays, and been given the opportunity to make new friends.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
