On Sunday, November 3, La Grande Guerra, an original composition by Donald Furlano, will be performed at the Veneto Club in Bulleen.
La Grande Guerra features a compelling narrative sure to touch the hearts of those who lived the story of the first great conflict through the tales of their fathers or grandfathers.
The narration will intertwine with the performance of sixteen extraordinarily beautiful songs, commemorating Italy’s National Unity and Armed Forces Day, which is observed annually on November 4.
The show promises to bring back to life the memories and raw experiences of the soldiers who fought for Italy in the Great War.
Directed by Maestro Giuliano Di Ienno, who will bring together the voices of the Veneto Club Choir and the Boroondara Symphonic Band, the event is sure to be a memorable and moving experience.
The show will feature songs in Italian, but thanks to screens displaying English translations, it will also be accessible to a non-Italian-speaking audience.
