“The dance floor at the San Marco in Lamis Social Club stayed full and buzzing all night, with guests dancing non-stop from one song to the next,” said Silvia Randazzo, president of the organising committee of the Apulian club.
Although the final event of the year welcomed around 70 guests—slightly fewer than the previous year due to parking issues—the evening was still a clear success.
“There was a really vibrant atmosphere,” Randazzo said. The musical duo J&C entertained guests with an outstanding performance, while lighting and decorations gave the venue an elegant, festive feel.
“Everyone joined in the midnight countdown right on the dance floor, sharing a toast to the New Year. It was a very emotional moment,” the president added.
The five-course menu, paired with selected drinks and opened with a refined glass of prosecco to toast the arrival of 2026, delighted everyone.
The entrée featured a generous selection of fresh seafood alongside an inviting cold platter of cured meats and cheeses.
The first course paid tribute to Apulian tradition with orecchiette in a rich, flavourful sauce, while the main course impressed with tender, well-seasoned chicken involtini.
The evening concluded with creamy gelato and the traditional panettone at the stroke of midnight.
During the night, Randazzo welcomed guests with a short address, thanking members, sponsors and donors for their continued support of the club.
“2025 was a challenging year, but thanks to everyone’s collaboration and commitment we managed to grow and keep our community vibrant,” she said, stressing the importance of friendship, respect and active participation in community life.
“I hope the new year brings everyone good health and happiness,” Randazzo concluded.
Looking ahead, the association aims to organise events with greater musical variety, inviting different bands to enhance the entertainment and make future evenings even more engaging.
The next event is already scheduled for February 14, with a Valentine’s Day dinner and special decorations.
