The two multilingual academics will discuss the idea of poetry on stage, and poetry as an integral form of daily life, as well as give an overview of the work of La Compagnia delle Poete.
La Compagnia delle Poete is a poetry collective of polyglot women poets, who are based in Italy but all share a common background of being migrants.
These poets often speak and write in more than one language, with Italian language as their common poetic trajectory.
Their project focuses on the creative opportunities which arise within the context of migration, mobility and translingualism.
In an interview with SBS, Loda said that the ability to move between languages is reflective of the transnational state of the contemporary world.
Mobility in language becomes even more interesting when it is transcribed into poetry.
Gosetti added that the evening will include an interactive component, where the audience will be given the opportunity to create translations of work by La Compagnia delle Poete, in their own unique languages.
Gosetti said that the seminar hopes to also highlight dialects, and that the evening offers the possibility to create poetic translations in Italian dialects such as Calabrian, Bresican and Genovese.
She also speculated that it would be amazing if any languages of the world were incorporated in the evening, including local Aboriginal languages.
Gosetti is the creator of the blog Transferre, a multilingual blog about translation of poetry in verse or prose, from any language into any language, with a particular focus on endangered local languages.
Gosetti, who speaks Bresican dialect, Italian, French and English, seeks to encourage poetry in translation for the preservation and the promotion of minority languages.
La Compagnia delle Poete was created by the Franco-Italian poet and scholar Mia Lecomte in 2009.
She has authored several plays which are based on multilingual poetry practices and the intermingling of genres and perspectives: theatre and poetry, the written and the oral word, and the individual and collective voice.
