With a gross mass of 144,216 tonnes, Majestic Princess, the new flagship of the Princess Cruises fleet, is the biggest ship constructed by the Monfalcone shipyard in 109 years of history.

It’s an amazing achievement for Fincantieri which will now deliver to the Carnival Corporation brand its first cruise ship designed specifically for the Chinese market.

The new ship combines the typical characteristics of the “Love Boat” ships with characteristics of cruise ships designed for an Asian market.

That means a combination of open spaces, gambling areas, fashion-brand shopping areas and karaoke zones.

The Italian “tourists” from Wollongong, guided by president of the Giuliani of Australia Adriana Douglas, were received on board of the super cruise ship by captain Dino Sagani, who conversed with Douglas at length on their shared city of birth and the shipyards of Monfalcone.
