Avondale FC and Heidelberg United were 2nd and 3rd on the table respectively heading into the game.
Both teams showcased their excellent defence as the first half ended 0-0.
It took until the 88th minute for the game to see its first goal as Cuba put The Avengers ahead.
However, Heidelberg equalised in the 90th minute from a corner as the game finished 1-1.

Meanwhile, the Senior Women were pushed by Craigieburn City in the first half as The Avengers took a 3-2 lead into the break. The score would stay the same in the second as the Senior Women continued their 100 per cent record in the league.
