ALTO hosts regular networking events that focus on a particular industry, with the most recent event centred around fashion.
Guests were treated to an open bar and quality Italian food served buffet-style with antipasti, authentic Neapolitan pizza, vitello tonnato and cianfotta, among much more.
The one and only Michael Zappone presided over the evening’s formalities while the two guest speakers, Marie Uva and Lana Wilkinson, shared much insight into both the difficulties and joys of starting a business in the world of fashion and beauty.
Uva is an award-winning hair stylist and Wilkinson is a stylist with her own shoe line. Both women have decades of experience in the industry and celebrity clientele who publicly praise the quality of their work.

ALTO president David La Greca thanked the many guests in attendance as well as the event’s sponsor, Boss Private Clients.
Special thanks also went to Mark Singarella of Vino Bambino for donating the wine, Joey Scandizzo for donating hair products, Tony Rapone from Bertocchi for donating a hamper and Richard Costanzo from Dolce and Gabbana for donating fragrances. The latter three donations were given as prizes to the lucky winners of the business card raffle.
“This year marks ALTO’s 10-year anniversary,” announced La Greca during his welcome speech.
“Over those ten years we have evolved into a strong young professional networking association.
“[We host] events where we can connect and share a common history, passion and love for all things Italian.”
