Guests were spoiled with wine and a generous selection of high quality food as they introduced themselves to one another, exchanging business cards.
The theme of the event was real estate, with several expert guests invited to share their knowledge on topics ranging from interest rate hikes to emerging property trends.
The first of several Q&A talks was with Medici Mortgages owner, Damian Medici, who was interviewed by ALTO President David La Greca.
Medici spoke about his career path that started in real estate, his opinions on the direction of interest rates (he believes only one more hike will occur at a maximum) as well as the day-to-day dealings of his company.
“[When advising clients on ways to tidy up their finances], a lot of people say things like ‘stop buying a coffee every day,’” said Medici.
“But I feel like if it makes you happy, that’s more important.”
