The event was also the first to unfold under the chapter’s new president, Ivan Vantagiato, a young entrepreneur in the world of digital marketing.

Born in Italy and having migrated to Australia as a teenager, Vantagiato perfectly embodies Italo-Australian identity.

He speaks fluent Italian and English and is ambitious and innovative, paying close attention to the latest trends and technologies.

Vantagiato explained that the aim of ALTO SA is to create a network of Italo-Australian professionals and entrepreneurs who are aged between 20 and 45 and have a mutual interest in Italian culture.

The chapter will host three other events throughout the year, showcasing the various sectors in which Italo-Australians in South Australia excel, from hospitality to healthcare.

Thrilled with the success of last month’s event, Vantagiato is eager to start planning the next one with the committee.

ALTO was established in Victoria in 2013 and expanded to South Australia in 2019.

President of the Melbourne branch, David La Greca, announced in March that the organisation is in the process of establishing a presence in Western Australia, with the hopes of expanding to other states.

ALTO offers a lifetime membership for the price of $95. Lifetime memberships come with a range of perks, including: invitations to business breakfasts or lunches on various topics with tickets either free of charge or at a discounted rate; discounted tickets to ALTO’s larger events throughout the year; advanced notification of events; and business promotions in various forms.
