Many people from members to friends and associates flocked to the elegant venue The Trust, in Flinders Lane, for two reasons: to celebrate and to show their support for the association which connects people from various industries who share a mutual interest in and respect for their Italian heritage.
Present at the event were many members of the Victorian Italian-Australian Tertiary Association (VITA), who represent the next generation of leaders in the Italian community.
Amid all of the fun and frivolity, the association’s president, Steven Perri, took the time to thank all members of the committee for their hard work, and sponsors and partners for their support.
“Five years ago we organised our first event and we didn’t know if anyone would show up; today we have a strong network of members, partners and sponsors and this is a great success for us,” he said.
“Merry Christmas to everyone and see you all next year!”
