The 24th Sydney Biennale, curated by Inti Guerrero and Cosmin Costinaș, is the pinnacle event of Australian contemporary art and returns this year with a more vibrant colour palette than ever before.

Until June 10, the public has the special opportunity to immerse themselves in a collection of extraordinary and innovative artworks, free of charge.

Since its inception in 1973, the Biennale has displayed the work of almost 1900 artists from more than 100 countries, establishing itself as the largest contemporary art event in Australia.

This year, the event expands to six different venues, each featuring original installations and pioneering events celebrating international contemporary art.

Among the new venues, the 24th edition transforms the White Bay Power Station into a pulsating hub of contemporary creativity.

In addition, the Badu Gili: Celestial project brings the Opera House to life through projections that tell the astronomical stories of Australia’s First Peoples, adding a deep cultural dimension to the event.

The Biennial program is rich and varied, with a series of artist talks, themed evenings and the Art After Sunset initiative, offering weekly immersive experiences where the public is invited to explore the new frontiers of contemporary art in fascinating historical contexts.

This year’s exhibition, entitled Ten Thousand Suns, promises to be an exploration of global cultural diversity, offering an in-depth look at the multiplicity of international artistic expression.
