The second man thought to have died in action was named in the report as Manuel Mameli, a 25-year-old from Cagliari.
Mameli has been unaccounted for since May 18, although he has not been officially declared as missing in action.
Earlier on Wednesday, Memorial, the Association of International Volunteers for Ukraine, said Italian volunteer Antonio Omar Dridi died while fighting for Kyiv against the Russian forces of invasion.
“Please Help us Honour Him so that He Is Not Forgotten,” Memorial said in a Facebook post.
“Our Beloved Italian Brother Antonio Omar Dridi, who had been serving in Ukraine as a Volunteer, succumbed on the Battlefield.
“Honour, Glory and Gratitude To Our Brother.”
Dridi, who had been listed as missing in action since March 27, was the fifth Italian to have died fighting in Ukraine.
